International Baccalaureate
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Program provides motivated students with an opportunity to pursue a rigorous university preparatory curriculum. Colleges and universities around the world internationally recognize the program, started in 1965.
Students in grades 11 and 12 participate in the IB Diploma or Certificate programs. Topics of study include six primary areas, though students are offered numerous choices within those areas, in order to cover topics both in depth and breadth. Individual student interests can be accommodated though these choices. Students completing the requirements for both the diploma and certificate programs may receive college credit for courses taken in high school, similar to the way students receive credit for Advanced Placement courses.
