Students will utilize word processing and basic computer operations in order to communicate ideas and contribute to the learning of others.

Students will utilize digital imaging and multimedia in order to communicate ideas and contribute to the learning of others.

Students will use concept maps and digital organizers to plan, manage projects, and make informed decisions.

Students will use databases and spreadsheets to organize and analyze data.

Students will use digital tools to evaluate and use web-based information.

Students will demonstrate positive attitudes, ethical behaviors, and confidence in their ability to use technology and technology applications.

Kindergarten

  • Understand and follow the BCPS Acceptable Use Policy

  • Work cooperatively and collaboratively with others when using technology in the classroom

  • Practice responsible use of technology systems and software

  • Demonstrate proper care of equipment (such as following lab rules, handling equipment with care, etc.)

  • Recognize the potential harm of intrusive applications (such as viruses, pop-up windows, etc)

  • Use safe and correct security procedures (such as protecting passwords and user ID)
