Instructional
Technology Liaisons
Technology Literacy for ALL Students
Role of the Instructional Technology Liaison/Alternate
Each school's principal has been asked to
identify, from the school's professional staff, an instructional
technology liaison and alternate. These persons serve as the
schools' contact with the Office of Instructional Technology
and the Department of Technology. They provide many services
to the school including the sharing of information regarding
the use of technology in instruction, software and hardware
support, and the maintenance of hardware and software inventories.
Liaisons should be members of the school team that plans,
designs, and implements professional development for the integration
of technology into the learning process and helps to meet
School Improvement Plan goals. As part of the school's technology
integration team, they work to provide our students with the
knowledge and skills they need to participate meaningfully
in a multicultural, technological, and change-oriented society.
