Health Education Learning Goals
Kindergarten - Grade 12
(Based on the National Health Standards and the MSDE
Health Education Outcomes and Indicators)
- Students will demonstrate an understanding of health promotion and
disease prevention concepts to establish a foundation for leading
healthy, productive lives. (Core concepts-CC)
- Students will demonstrate the ability to access, analyze, and evaluate
health information, products, and services in order to become health
literate consumers.

- Students will demonstrate the ability to identify and practice health
enhancing behaviors and reduce risks to live safer, healthier lives.

- Students will analyze culture, media, technology, and other factors

- Students will demonstrate the ability to use interpersonal communication
skills to enhance personal, family, and community health.
