Style to Content Learning Preferences Inventory
The Style to Content Learning Preferences Inventory (STC-LPI)
is based on a survey intended to enable students to indicate how
they prefer to learn—the ways in which they like to have content
structured and sequenced—no more, no less. This vital information
in turn helps teachers modify instruction and adapt their teaching
strategies to address students’ approaches to learning or
their learning preferences. It is also important to move students
who may show certain preferences into a zone of comfort with other
preferences. The STC-LPI, which will be available via paper
and web-based versions, furnishes a starting point to meet students
where they are and then help them expand their learning modalities.
