Description/Overview

Integrated with the Conserve the Chesapeake Research Model

Form a group with four other classmates. Have each group member choose a different Chesapeake Bay restoration program to specialize in. The choices are:

  • Managing Fisheries
  • Restoring Water Quality
  • Reducing Pollution and Identifying Pollutants
  • Restoring and Maintaining Habitats
  • Sound Land Use

Each group member will present a public service announcement video examining their research. After all the presentations have been presented, your group will discuss and decide which Chesapeake Bay restoration program will receive your donation and why.

Approximate Time Needed 360 minutes (180 research/write, 90 film, 90 edit)

    • Students use information found in their research to write their script
  7. Plan production
    • Think about where and when to film
    • Who is performing? Who is running the equipment? WHO'S IN CHARGE?
  8. Rehearse

  10. Edit final product
    • Use MovieMaker (or other software)
    • Import the video from camera and/ or other sources
    • Arrange video / pictures
    • Add transitions and titles
    • Edit audio
    • Finalize and save
