Description/Overview

Integrated with the News Flash: Stress and Your Health Research Model

You will be researching one of the following body systems which can be affected by stress:

  • Endocrine System
  • Immune System
  • Central Nervous System

You will use the information from your research to create a a videotaped PSA (public service announcement) to inform parents or other family members about stress-related illness and disease. Select your final product from the list below and include the following information.

  • Definition of the body system
  • Main functions of the system
  • Structures included in the system
  • At least one illustration of the system
  • Diseases affecting the system
  • Impact of stress on the system
Approximate Time Needed

360 minutes (180 research/write, 90 film, 90 edit)

    • Think about where and when to film
    • Who is performing? Who is running the equipment? WHO'S IN CHARGE?
  8. Rehearse
  9. Shoot and compile
  10. Edit final product
    • Use MovieMaker (or other software)
    • Import the video from camera and/ or other sources
    • Arrange video / pictures
    • Add transitions and titles
    • Edit audio
    • Finalize and save
