is a concept mapping tool that offers a simple and easy way to create a mind map which can be shared virtually via your online account.  With a account you can mind map with words, images from your computer, images from the internet, and other files you might want to share.

Classtools: Diagrams provides templates which help users easily create several different types of diagrams to help when brainstorming or creating concept maps.  The types of diagrams include Fishbone, Venn Diagram, Telescopic Topic, Target, Hamburger, and Jigsaw Diagram.

Edmodo is a "facebook-esque" tool that is safe for teachers and students to use.  Simply stated it is an online based virtual learning environment.  Teachers can use it to communicate information with parents and students, assess topics learned in class that day, host at-home discussions, survey students, have groups of students collaborate on work and so much more.

Padlet (formerly known as Wallwisher) is an online graffiti wall which can be used for writing, collaboration, curation of ideas and/or brainstorming.  Teachers and students can use Padlet to have discussions, share web links, post notices, collect feedback, or watch and share videos. Padlet accounts are free and you can make as many walls as you like. Students do not have to create an account to post on your walls. The notes you post can contain links, videos, images, and document files.

Kidblog allows students to have individual blogs. Students publish posts and participate in academic discussions within the secure classroom blogging community. Teachers maintain complete control over student blogs and user accounts.  All students need to sign up is the secret code their teacher gives them.  

VoiceThread is an application that runs inside your web browser, and allows you to place images, videos, documents, and presentations at the center of an audio conversation. These conversations are not live; they take place whenever and wherever it's convenient for people to participate.  Use VoiceThread for storytelling, as a presentation tool, to encourage discussion and collaboration.
