Skills Avoiding plagiarism: paraphrasing, quoting, citing sources, bibliography

Plagiarism is copying another person's work without giving proper credit. Academic Dishonesty is listed as a Category I Offense according to the BCPS Student Handbook. Academic Dishonesty is identified as, "cheating on tests, copying term papers, forging signature of teacher and/or parent/guardian". Paraphrasing, quoting, citing sources, and creating a bibliography, are tools to avoid plagiarism.
