| The Professional Research Library provides information services and access
to professional resources and the Multicultural Resource Library
for Baltimore County Public School employees. The professional
research librarian, Fran Glick, provides expert search
services using DIALOG online services that provides access to
many research databases not available to the general public.
The library is located at ESS and includes a collection of books, scholarly
journals, multicultural resources, CD-ROMS, database and eBook subscriptions (fulltext magazine, newspapers, books), and other
information resources of interest to the educational community.
The librarian is available for research assistance related to
academic pursuits and fulfilling employment responsibilities
with the Baltimore County Public Schools. |

NCES is the primary federal entity

in the U.S. and other nations. Great source to get fast educational
data and statistics about all topics...achievement, demographics,
staffing, funding, technology, etc.. Searchable database of all
NCES Survey/Program groups.

The Education Virtual Library
Plan to spend some time exploring this one! The VL is the oldest
catalog of the web, started by Tim Berners-Lee, the creator of
html and the web itself. It is run by volunteers, who compile
pages of key links for particular areas in which they are expert.
VL pages are widely recognized as being amongst the highest quality
guides to subject sections of the web.

newspapers, books, TV/radio transcripts, photos, and maps. Some databases are provided through the MD K-12 Digital Library. Access
to the database requires a password to use at school and another
password to use at home. All Baltimore County Public Schools subscribe to
this service.
