Baltimore County Public Schools are poised to set the stage
for a national movement in information technology. The Office
of Library Information Services has joined with several other
public and
private agencies to develop and deliver a series of Internet
learning opportunities for families. This initiative promises
to join us to
President Clinton's and Vice President Gore's quest
to build a
family-friendly Internet.
The Parent Internet Education (P.I.E) initiative will offer
parents of Baltimore County Public Schools students and other
Maryland counties a variety of learning experiences to demonstrate
that the Internet can be a safe, educational, valuable,and entertaining
resource for families.
