There are billions of different kinds of organisms (or living things) on earth. To help study them, scientists can classify them by looking at their similarities and differences.
Classifying animals helps you to learn about different types of animals, what they look like, where they live and how they survive. Click on Annie to watch a video about classifying animals:
We will use information we gather to answer the Essential Question:

First, we will use what we already know about animals to record how groups of animals are alike and different. Then, we will gather and sort Information about animal groups by researching animals using the Internet and Print resources. We will fill in the Animal Classification Chart, with details from our research. Last, we will complete our final project. We will make a multimedia presentation or video commercial about the new design of the zoo. |
