If your keywords do not give good results when you search, try using other synonyms or try more general keywords.
Example:
Colonial America games
Explorers

Check a dictionary either online or in book form to make sure that you have spelled your keywords correctly.

 

Use lower case letters for most of your keywords when searching online.
Example:
colonial maryland transportation

christopher columbus
Use a capital letter only if the capital letter will change the word's meaning.
Example:
Turkey (the country)
turkey (the bird)
Choose a search tool on the Internet to conduct your search.
On the home page of your selected search site, find the blank search box and type in your keyword(s) and then hit Return or Enter.

 Look carefully at your Results List or Web Site Matches. Click on any or all of the web links that are related to your topic.If the web sites are not helpful for your research, try changing your keywords or try using a different search tool.
