1. The Question
•        The attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese marked the beginning of World War II.  Many people were concerned that the number of Japanese –Americans living in the United States posed a threat to national safety.  The internment camps were formed as a direct result of that fear.  Over 120,000 people were forced to live in camps with poor conditions, inadequate medical help, and great stress.
