Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo were well-known Mexican artists. Each had a distinctive style. Their works conveyed their view of the world and themselves.

Task and Product

You will be conducting a group of American students through the Mexican Museum of Art focusing on the works of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo.You are preparing a pre-visit orientation for the students. You must be able to speak about the types of paintings, influences on each artist, as well as their relationship and its effect on their work. Your presentation will be in the form of a PowerPoint, video, or a 5 minute oral product with visuals.

You must submit two questions from your presentation which will be used as an assessment for all students. One should be a Brief Constructed Response(BCR) and the other a Selected Response(SR). Submit a scoring tool with the questions.

After analyzing and sorting your information, you must put them together into your presentation. Check the rubric for your presentation to make sure you have met all criteria.

Assessment Questions
When creating your questions, recall the essential and subsidiary questions. Your questions should measure whether or not students have gained an understanding of the knowledge you have presented. when creating your scoring tools, consider what knowledge is essential for students to obtain. you may use the Brief Constructed Response(BCR) Scoring Tool as a guideline. For the Selected Response(SR) answer choices, make sure the student must have a clear understanding of the knowledge in order to identify the correct answer.
