Plants Need Air!

Student ResourcesHomeTeacher Resources

Air helps plants by keeping animals (like worms), that live in the soil, alive.

Worms and air help to make space for the plant's roots to grow.

Plants breathe air through their leaves and their roots.

If plants could not get any air, they would suffocate and die.

Plants need air above (leaves) and below (roots) the ground in order to survive.
