| To begin, read "What are Fractals?"and"What's so Hot about Fractals?" |

Let's Get Started To help you get started, print out the Fractal Check List. The check list will help you organize your project. This project has been divided into seven steps. After you complete each step, you should have the check sheet initialed by your teacher BEFORE going on to the next step. Questioning After reading "What
are Fractals?" and "What's
so Hot about Fractals?",
write as many questions as you can that will help you understand
and investigate this topic. Record them on the check sheet.
THINK ABOUT... What you already know about fractals? What do you need
to know to begin your
investigation? to
inform others about fractals? to
convince the committee that you will be a terrific summer intern?
You
will be able to add more questions to your list later!!!!!
Planning
Organizing
your research can sometimes be a difficult task especially when
your topic-FRACTALS-has so much information.
Instead of writing a lengthy research paper, you are going to
organize your information into a portfolio that can be used during
you presentation with MegaGraphics. Before
you begin the research, let's take a look at part of your final
product - your portfolio!!! |
Time Management You will have several days in
the computer lab to complete your research; then you will work
independently to complete your project. You are now
ready to begin gathering your information!
Note-Taking
Beginning
your research... You can add more questions to your list as you read further.
