Have your written questions with you before you
begin your search. |
| 2. |
Click in the empty rectangular box to type in your search
string. Because Electric Library prefers "natural language"
searching, type in a phrase, sentence, or question that incorporates
the question that you are trying to answer. If that doesn't work,
use keywords. Remember to spell words correctly! |
| 3. |
Eliminate the source types that you don't need such
as pictures or maps by clicking in the squares to remove the
"x's" in the boxes. We recommend selecting magazines
and newspapers as sources for this project. |
| 4. |
Click on the search button which is next to the rectangle
in which you typed your search string. |
| 5. |
Scan through the "hits" that
you are given once the search is completed. Click on only those
articles which seem to relate to your questions. |
| 6. |
If you take notes from one of the articles that you find,
be sure to write down the original source which is given
to you at the top of the complete article. |
| 7. |
The "Go to best part" button can help you
find the most relevant section of the article. Use it! |
| 8. |
Click on the "New Search" button when finished
or click on the "Back" button to return to your
Results List to look at another article. |
| 9. |
Try the Electric Library articles below or conduct your own
search using tips above. |
