  • Work in small groups with an instructional assistant for those students requiring individual help.

  • Create group booklets, assigning strong readers  to a group to serve as leaders.
  • Create a student version of "Something About the Author" by having students research more than one author.
  • Create a PowerPoint presentation.
  • Create a display of DePaola works.
  • Invite students to write reviews or create booktalks about their favorite DePaola work.
