Guidelines for Presentations about Chesapeake Bay
Habitats and Organisms

Power Point Presentation

Your Power Point presentation should include 6 slides:
  • Title slide
  • Picture of new organism (this can be a drawing or diagram, or you may make a three-dimensional model and include a photo of it)
  • Description of the organism's habitat
  • How the organism would interact with its environment (including with other organisms)
  • What positive impact this organism would have on the natural processes of the Chesapeake Bay
  • Sources used in research

Note: Consider including more pictures, diagrams, or other visuals to add interest to your slides. Be creative!



Poster Presentation
Your poster should be divided into 5 areas:
  • Title
  • Picture of new organism (this can be a drawing or diagram, you may include a three-dimensional model)
  • Description of the organism's habitat
  • How the organism would interact with its environment (including with other organisms)
  • What positive impact this organism would have on the natural processes of the Chesapeake Bay

Include on the back of the poster a list of the sources you used in your research.

Note: Consider including more pictures, diagrams, or other visuals to add visual to your poster. Be creative!


Brochure Presentation

Your brochure will be a trifold with two sides. That means you will fill six panels with information. Use the template below as a guide for placing your information on your brochure. If you'd like to create your brochure electronically with Microsoft Publisher, open this template, pull down FILE to SAVE AS to save a fresh copy, and begin inserting your own information in the designated sections.
