How to choose a great book:

Read the back.

Read the flap.

Use the five finger rule on the first few pages.

Use the Goldilock's strategy - too little, too big, and just right.

Flip through the pages. Are there pictures? If so, what questions come to mind about the book as you look at the pictures.

Ask yourself the following questions:

	Have I read other books by the same author that I liked?
	What genre in this book?
	Is this a book in a series?
	Does the title sound interesting?
	Do I have a personal connection to the book?
	Have any of my friends read the book? If so, do they recommend it?
