Content Standard C

POPULATIONS AND ECOSYSTEMS
The number of organisms an ecosystem can support depends on the resources available and abiotic factors, such as quantity of light and water, range of temperatures, and soil composition. Given adequate biotic and abiotic resources and no disease or predators, populations (including humans) increase at rapid rates. Lack of resources and other factors, such as predation and climate, limit the growth of populations in specific niches in the ecosystem.

AASL Standards for the 21st-Century Learner

Learners use skills, resources and tools to:

1)      Inquire, think critically, and gain knowledge.

2)      Draw conclusions, make informed decisions, apply knowledge to new situations, and create new knowledge.

3)      Share knowledge and participate ethically and productively as members of our democratic society.

4)      Pursue Personal and aesthetic growth.

National Technology Education Standards for Students (ISTE) Standard 5:-Technology research Tools
Students use technology to locate, evaluate, and collect information from a variety of sources.
Students use technology tools to process data and report results.
