Dakota State University-The Civil War ...This is the best site to access academic links to sub topics on the Civil War. Information that is hard to find through a normal search engine can be found here. The topics are balanced between the Union and Confederacy.

Reconstruction ...Are you looking for the other viewpoint of Reconstruction? Southerners for Southerners wrote this information shortly after the end of the Civil War. This site expresses Southern opinion about the reflections of war, the reconstruction plans of the government, the racial question, and reunification.

The Making of America ...This is a digitized library collection of journals, books, and images of the antebellum South through Reconstruction in the United States.
