Application Process

Applicants for participation in the cohort must:

  • Inteview with Office of Library Information Services staff.
  • Meet Towson University Graduate Admission Standards. (Acceptance into the cohort does not mean
    automatic acceptance into the Graduate School at Towson University.
  • Earned a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree with MSDE teachers' certification at any level PreK-12.
  • Demonstrate satisfactory performance for two years in current teaching assignment.
    Possess a GPA of 3.0 in college coursework.
  • Must complete M.S. of Science in Instructional Technology, School Library Media in specified timeframe.

Application Process for Baltimore County Public School Teachers 

  • Candidates must complete:
    • (1) School Library Media Cohort Application
  • Return the School Library Media Cohort Application to Della Curtis, Office of Library and Information Services.
    • (2) Interview with the Office of Library Services. Applicants will be contacted for an interview .
  • Complete the Application for Graduate Study at Towson University to the Graduate
    School office following acceptance into the cohort. Details on this process will be provided during the interview process.
  • Submit the BCPS Request for Course Approval (BEBCO 1200690).
  • Register for classes (Registration will take place in class at the first meeting.)
