Team members will work collaboratively to develop the school library collection to support the elementary voluntary state curriculum. Teams will work on separate Dewey sections using Follett's Titlewise online collection development resource. Budget is available to ensure that a collection that meets MSDE State Standards for School Library Collections is achieved (18,000 items). The chart below, organized by Dewey Decimal Classification Schedule, will provide our logistics acquisition framework for STEM materials. In addition to the BCPS online ordering resources, we will use 3 commercial online ordering services Follett's Titewave, Scholastic (Grolier publications only), World Book to order library materials. The Baltimore County sales reps for each of the above vendors will provide in-class training, resources, and specifics for ordering materials through their service.

Collection Development Dewey Framework
When developing the collection in your assigned Dewey area using the web-based ordering resources, name your selection list in the following manner:

Library Supplies ­ Use Demco, Brodart, Highsmith, etc. vendor catalogs. Call Purchasing to get authorization to order online and confirm the negotiated discount rate for BCPS.

Signage ­ major divisions of the collection. Harbor Signs is our vendor.
