The Department of Fiscal Services is dedicated to providing accurate financial information and quality customer service to employees, community members, and outside agencies. Staff strives to effectively and efficiently provide timely access to useful information

The Department of Fiscal Services ensures that:

• The annual operating and capital budgets will be developed and administered in a timely and accurate manner.
• The Department of Fiscal Services’ staff will effectively and efficiently provide timely access to functional information.
• Processes and software are explored to increase electronic purchasing, electronic submission of payroll data, and electronic access to financial reports.
• Staff and stakeholders are involved in the budget process.

The Department of Fiscal Services’ Web site provides you with:

• The latest BCPS budget documents.
• Public calendars for the operating and capital budget processes, which include important dates for board meetings and public hearings related to the budget.
• The current Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and past financial reports to the board.
• Information for potential vendors to register with BCPS through the Vendor Self Service system.
