Office of Equal Employment Opportunity
The Equal Employment Opportunity Office (EEO), in Personnel Services, is part of the Department of Human Resources and is responsible for investigating complaints or charges of discrimination and evaluating employee requests for reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Additionally, the EEO Office:
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local statutes regarding EEO and fair employment practices.
- Provides EEO/ADA training to employees.
- Provides support to managers/supervisors in handling potential EEO/ADA issues.
- Provides guidance to employees who are experiencing EEO related problems in the workplace.
- Provides support for employees who are disabled or become disabled.
- Consults with staff from other offices to coordinate appropriate services/information to employees.
- Publishes an annual Workforce Survey.
- Publishes and annually reviews the ADA Compliance Guide available to students, parents, employees, and the public.
