Baltimore County Public Schools has one of the strongest music instruction programs in the nation. In fact, the NAMM Foundation named BCPS as one of the “Best Communities for Music Education in America” in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.

Each month, In Up Beat, BCPS-TV brings musical talent from across the county into the studio to create a professional on-air musical experience for viewers.  Up Beat showcases a wide range of music, from jazz to classical and vocal to instrumental in a variety show of music.
