Cooks for Kids
Cooks for Kids, a new series of satellite training programs from the National Food Service Management Institute, is a forum to demonstrate how schools, parents, the food-service industry, and the media can work together to give children access to healthful food and give them the skills they need to make healthful food choices wherever they are. Each episode focuses on healthful food and cooking techniques not only at school but also in restaurants and at home.
Participants will learn techniques used by culinary professionals to produce high-quality foods that are flavorful, nutritious, and appealing. Each episode will feature a school that is putting these principles to practice.
