Professional Study Day information for August 20, 2008

Prekindergarten
Prekindergarten general and special education teachers and school-based early childhood special education inclusion resource teachers will be provided with updates to support prekindergarten Language Arts instruction. Teachers will receive information about the newly developed Integrated Language Arts Guide for Prekindergarten and learn strategies for effective curriculum implementation and differentiation.

One morning and one afternoon session will be offered at the Loyola Graduate Center in Timonium. Participants should register for one half-day session, 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. OR 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. via the BCPS Professional Development website. Registration will be open beginning July 21, 2008.

Kindergarten
Kindergarten general and special education teachers and school-based early childhood special education inclusion resource teachers will be provided with updates to support kindergarten Language Arts instruction. Teachers will receive information about the revised Beginning-of-the Year Integrated Language Arts Guide for Kindergarten. Additionally, they will receive updates regarding Open Court, content area, and writing instruction.

One morning and one afternoon session will be offered at the Loyola Graduate Center in Timonium. Participants should register for one half-day session, 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. OR 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. via the BCPS Professional Development website. Registration will be open beginning July 21, 2008.
