The Resource Centers for Families and Schools
are committed to supporting student achievement
in our homes, schools, and communities. The Resource Centers are part of the Baltimore County Public Schools Parent Support Services Program.
Centers provide:
- instructional resources and services for students, families,
educators, and community members
- assistance to parents in locating and identifying educational
resources in Baltimore County Public Schools and the greater
community
- encouragement for the development of learning environments
that reflect and celebrate a sense of multiculturalism;
and that foster positive attitudes and perceptions about
learning in all students
- a wide range of training, inservice, and teacher and parent
development activities designed to support student learning
- educational support activities and resources for adult
education centers, area colleges, child care centers, and
other community-based organizations
- support to schools and PTAs as they design parent involvement
activities to reach school goals
- information and support for parents and families of students
with disabilities
- information and support for parents and families of English Language Learners (ELL)
- website access to resources and information that support
parent involvement that increases student achievement
- support and encouragement to parents in developing home
environments that support learning and student success
