Professional Study Day

On Tuesday, August 29, 2017, Professional Study Day workshops will provide professional learning opportunities for BCPS teachers and other professionals.

Following is the format for Professional Study Day 2017 activities:

Prekindergarten and Kindergarten Teachers and Prekindergarten and Kindergarten Paraeducators *Countywide training by the office of Early Childhood Education on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 (Zones 1 and 2) and Wednesday, August 30, 2017 (Zones 3 and 4).
Elementary* (except special areas) *General and Special Education Inclusion Teachers

Teachers are invited to use the Professional Learning Planner- Elementary Schools 2017-2018 to access content and resources during Professional Study Day.

Elementary general and special education inclusion teachers will remain in their schools and participate in content office designed training on instructional strategies that meet the demands of delivering the MDCCRS and NGSS.

Participants attending Professional Study Day workshops must register for the offerings, using the Professional Study Day – August 2017 catalog by logging into the online registration system in BCPS One, selecting the Professional Learning tile, and then selecting the Registration System tile. New staff who have not received their BCPS credentials should register for Professional Study Day activities in the Online Registration System using a personal e-mail account.
