The Division of Curriculum and Instruction provides vision, leadership, and expertise in the development of curricular and instructional initiatives in order to ensure a world class education for every student. The written, taught, and assessed curricula is aligned to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and is guided by a systemic teaching and learning framework that embeds a research-based set of components to instruction; incorporates Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) standards; is grounded in a constructivist view of teaching and learning; and is accessible to all students. The pedagogy inherent in the teaching and learning framework provides the foundation for the teacher effectiveness and evaluation processes.

Goals

• To develop a systemic vision for teaching and learning that results in a world class instructional delivery program. 
• To provide curricular and instructional leadership to schools that directs rigorous program planning and implementation. 
• To share content, process, and product expertise that models research-based methodology and core teaching standards.
