PDF Documents
Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF) is a standard for
electronic document distribution worldwide. PDF files can
be published and distributed anywhere: in print, attached
to e-mail, posted on Web sites, or on CD-ROM.
Key Features
Compact PDF files are smaller than their source
files and preserve all of the fonts, formatting, colors, and
graphics of any source document.
PDF files display exactly as created, regardless of
fonts, software, and operating systems.
PDF files will print correctly on any printing device.
Anyone, anywhere can open a PDF file regardless of
the application and the platform used to create it. All one
needs is the free Acrobat Reader application available from
www.adobe.com.

Opening PDF Documents
To open a PDF file from the desktop, disk or CD, double
click the file icon or select the icon and choose Open from
the File menu.
To open a linked PDF document in the web
browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator), simply
click the link. The PDF document will be downloaded to your
computer and then open for viewing.
Viewing a PDF Document
From the View menu, one may choose
to view the document as a single page, continuous pages, or
continuous facing pages. One may also view just the page,
bookmarks and the page, or (page) thumbnails and the current
page number. A Full Screen selection also allows one to view
the page without menus and toolbars.
Printing a PDF Document
To print a PDF document, select Page Setup from the File Menu
and select the desired print options. Acrobat Reader offers
a Shrink to Fit print option. Shrink to Fit shrinks and, if
necessary, rotates oversized pages to fit on the paper size
currently loaded in the printer. Then select Print form the
File menu.
