Users may receive an
e-mail with a banner asking them to add color to Outlook.(see graphic
below) It should not be installed.

If you get an e-mail with the above banner in it you should not
install the program. It adds software, called HotBar,
to your computer that reports back information about you to the
company that created it. It also adds the "Upgrade Outlook"
banner to all of the e-mails you send out.

If you have already loaded this software please remove it immediately.
To remove the software follow the directions below.
- Quit out of Outlook.
- Go to the Start button and select Settings, then
Control Panel.
- Double-click on the Add/Remove icon.

- Find the program in the list that appears that is called HotBar.
Click on the program's name one time to highlight.
- Click the Change/Remove button to uninstall the program.
- Users have reported that their machines freeze after uninstalling
HotBar. If this should happen use Control-Alt-Delete to
either end the task or restart the machine.
- Verify that HotBar has been removed by going back to Add/Remove
control panel. HotBar should no longer be listed. If it is still
there try to remove the program again.
- If you are unable to remove the program call the Customer Support
Center at extension 4672 for more assistance.
