The following instructions should be used
to repair an Outlook profile that is not working properly for users
that are joined to the BCPS Domain and running Windows XP. Users
that are joined to the Domain will log into Windows with their email
user name and password. Please note that you will NOT be
asked for a password when opening up email because you have already
provided that password to Windows when you log onto the Domain.
It is therefore important that all users LOG OFF of their computers
when they will be away from their machine.
Log into Windows XP with your user name and profile on the BCPS
Domain.
Go to the StartMenu and select
Settings then ControlPanel.

Click on SwitchtoClassicView link. (see graphic below)
Doubleclick the Mail
icon.
Click the ShowProfiles button.
(see graphic below)
There will most likely only be one profile highlighted called
Outlook. Click the Remove button.

Click Yes to confirm that the profile should
be removed. (see graphic below)
Repeat steps 6 and seven if necessary until the profiles are
all removed then click OK. (see graphic below)
Re launch Outlook.
You will see a box asking you to name the profile. Enter your
full name in the box. (see graphic below)
Click the radio button next to Addanewemailaccount
and then click Next. (see graphic below)
