- Accessing Other
User's Folders
Many times you may want to share
your Outlook Calendar or even Inbox with another user. It is important
that you do not give out your e-mail password. Use the directions
below to access other user's Outlook Folders.
Before you are able to access
another user's folder they must give you access to them. Click
here for directions on setting up delegates.
- Open up your Outlook account. Go to the File menu and
select Open then slide over to Other User's Folder.
(see graphic below)
- Click on the Name button. (See graphic below)

- Type the last few letters of the person's last name that you
want Outlook access for. Then click OK. (see graphic below)
- Use the pull-down menu to select the folder for which you have
been given permission. Click OK when done. (See graphic
below)
- A window will now appear that contains the contents of the folder
you have permission to use. Use this folder like you would your
own. You will not be able to make changes to this user's folder
if they have not given you permission.
- Each time you launch your Outlook account you will need to open
the other user's folder. After the first time you open this folder
you will see the person's name listed when you go to the File
menu and select Open and then slide over and down to the
name of the user. (See graphic below)
