The following instructions should be used
to find out the active email accounts in a BCPS building. As new
employees are hired and ERF forms are received there is some times
a delay between when the account is active and when the employee
receives paperwork indicating that fact. Using the procedure below
active accounts can be determined. When an account is active an
employee can call the Customer Support Center to have their password
reset even if the paperwork has not be received.
The following instructions must be
done from an active email account where the username and password
is know (for example by the building Technology Liaison.)

- Log onto your Windows XP computer using your Domain log in account.
- Launch Outlook XP.
- From the Inbox click the New button as if a
new message was going to be created. (see graphic below)
- Click the To button. (see graphic below)
- Click the Advanced pull-down button at the
bottom of the Global Address Book window and select Find.
(see graphic below)
- Type the name of the school or office in the Office
field and then click OK. (see graphic below)

- The list displayed now will contain only the employees with
active accounts at the searched for building. Use the scroll bar
at the bottom of the list of names to reveal user names. (see
graphic below)
- Once an employee is in the global Address Book their account
is active and they can call the Customer Support Center to have
their password reset.
