Mission
The mission of the Office of Internal Audit is to support the Board of Education of Baltimore County and the Baltimore County Public Schools in achieving systemwide goals and objectives.

Responsibilities
The Office of Internal Audit's responsibilities are:

• To provide the Board of Education of Baltimore County with information and recommendations with the intent that the information will be used as a resource to assist them in developing a program of education in the county.
• To provide Baltimore County Public Schools with information and recommendations with the intent that the information will be used as a resource to:
  
  • Improve achievement for all students
    
  • Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment in every school
    
  • Use resources effectively and efficiently
