Pull-Off Piece Notebook
This system was designed for students who benefit from "pulling off" symbols. The student can either hand the symbol to the communication partner or arrange the symbols to generate phrases or sentences. Velcro was placed on the black and white background page and on the back of the removable piece. Tempo loop frabric was adhered to the inside cover of the binder.

Topic Notebook
This notebook was designed for students who prefer to speak, but require methods to repair breakdowns in communication. There are removable pieces to initiate conversation. The pacing board is provided for students to speak and point to decrease rate of speech. The spelling page is available for students to spell out an unintelligible word. High interest topics are included inside the binder for contextual/situational cues.

This light-tech dynamic display notebook contains a combination of "static" core vocabuary and "dynamic" fringe vocabulary. The core board is adhered to the inside cover of a binder. The binder rings hold the fringe vocabulary through flip pages with divider tabs. We recommend including removable pieces for communicators on the go.
