The Rosedale Center
Therapeutic Program
An array of therapeutic services are offered by a team comprised
of counselors, psychologists, social workers, a substance abuse
counselor, a probation officer, and numerous crisis intervention
personnel. These services are also available to the family on a
limited basis. Interventions include; time-out, peer mediation,
individual counseling, selected group counseling, daily guidance
and social skills classes, substance abuse education and counseling,
parent assistance meetings and home visits, liaison connections
with community resources, and assistance in obtaining outside services.
Educational and psychological assessments and recommendations are
also conducted.
Behavior Modification Program
The primary goal of the Rosedale Center's behavior modification
program is to teach appropriate school behavior. The positive reinforcement
report is a means of providing feedback to students and parents
on a daily basis. The focus is on progress and ultimately, the student's
successful return to the home comprehensive school. The length of
stay is dependent on the student's progress through the levels of
the program.
