Academic Program

Middle School:
The academic curriculum follows the outcomes and indicators of the Baltimore County Public Schools Essential Curriculum. Instruction in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading, Writing, and Art is thematic and hands-on. Class membership averages 7:1 and is multi-graded.

High School:
The academic program, based on the Baltimore County Public Schools Essential Curriculum, is individualized to meet and maintain each students' comprehensive school schedule as closely as possible. In addition to the requirements for graduation, students participate in an adventure education program, which provides opportunities for academically integrated real-life experiences. It also affords the opportunity for students to complete the 75 hours of state required student service.

Basic skills and GED preparation class, vocational assessment and exploration, and social and emotional support are also available to disconnected, out-of-school youth.
