Alternative Education and School Support Programs

EVENING/SATURDAY HIGH SCHOOL

Evening classes are two hours and meet at 6:00p.m. and 8:00p.m.; Saturday class is 8:00a.m. to 12:00 noon. Credit classes include English, social studies, math, science, health, and technical education.

You can earn up to five hours of pay per night or on Saturday. Teachers are paid at the hourly alternative education rate, plus one-half an hour preparation time per class session. Counselor, librarian, and instructional assistant applicants are welcomed.

Evening classes are held at Western and Kenwood High Schools on Mondays and Wednesdays; Dundalk and Woodlawn High Schools on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Saturday morning classes are held at Towson.

If you are interested in teaching during the upcoming school year, complete the Evening/Saturday Teaching Form. Teachers should be certified or close to being certified.
