SAT

The SAT is a nationally norm-referenced, standard, multiple choice and essay test owned and administered by the College Board. Typically taken by the second semester juniors and first semester seniors, the SAT is primarily used for college admission decisions. The SAT has verbal and mathematics tests, as well as other optional subjects, and students may elect to take the SAT from October through June.
