The SAT is a nationally norm-referenced,
standard, multiple choice and essay test owned and administered by the
College Board. Typically taken by the second semester juniors and
first semester seniors, the SAT is primarily used for college
admission decisions. The SAT has verbal and mathematics tests, as well
as other optional subjects, and students may elect to take the SAT
from October through June. Visit www.collegeboard.org
