Baltimore County Public Schools' (BCPS) Office of Research is responsible for providing support to schools and offices in analyzing data and research findings to guide instructional decision-making and the best utilization of resources. The Office of Research designs and implements evaluations intended to provide information about the efficacy of selected programs. In addition, the Office of Research is responsible for reporting the official statistical information for Baltimore County Public Schools.
The Office of Research provides the following services in the Baltimore County Public Schools:
- Provides research and statistical analysis services to the schools and offices of Baltimore County Public Schools. BCPS employees may visit our intranet for more information.
- Designs and implements program evaluations and research activities for the schools and offices of Baltimore County Public Schools.
- Reviews and coordinates approval of external requests to conduct research in Baltimore County Public Schools from universities, government agencies, and private companies.
- Maintains and reports the statistical information of Baltimore County Public Schools related to student achievement, including the Achievement Report.
- Provides data surveys, and analyses, as needed, in support of the Blueprint for Progress and Report on Results.
- Provides support in the design and analysis of survey research for schools and offices, including school climate surveys.
