The Office of Research supports the vision, mission, and goals of Baltimore County Public Schools, in accordance with the system's Blueprint for Progress and Master Plan by providing support to schools and offices in analyzing data and providing research findings to guide instructional decision making and resource utilization.

The Office of Research is responsible for:

• Reviewing and coordinating approval of internal and external requests to conduct research within Baltimore County Public Schools from staff members, universities, government agencies, and private entities.  For additional information regarding the research approval process, click here.
  
• Providing research and statistical analysis services to the schools and offices of Baltimore County Public Schools.
  
• Designing and implementing program evaluations and research activities to determine if identified programs are improving student, school, and office performance.
  
• Providing data analyses to support the performance goals and indicators set forth in the Blueprint for Progress and Report on Results.


• Providing support in the design, implementation, and analysis of survey research for schools and offices, including school climate surveys.
