The Maryland School Assessment
(MSA) is a mandatory assessment of reading and mathematics
achievement that meets the testing requirements of the No Child
Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001. The tests will be administered
in the spring of each year to students in grades 3 through 8. For
each of these grades, there are two days of testing for reading
and two days of testing for mathematics.
