The Maryland School Assessment (MSA) is a mandatory assessment of reading and mathematics achievement that meets the testing requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001. The tests will be administered in April 2007 to students in grades 3 through 8. For each of these grades, there are two days of testing for reading and two days of testing for mathematics. In March 2007, science will be added in grades 5 and 8. Results from last year's MSA for all Baltimore County Public Schools can be found at the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) website on the School Improvement in Maryland Data page. Visit the Test page for MSDE or contact a school counselor for more information.
