The Baltimore County Public Schools' Assessment office functions
administratively under the "auspices" of the Research, Accountability,
and Assessment programs. The Assessment office is responsible for
coordinating and implementing all federal, state- and county-mandated
testing programs within the school system. Among these tests are the
Maryland School Assessment (MSA), Alternate Maryland School Assessment
(ALT-MSA), High School Assessment (HSA), and Maryland Functional Tests.
