The Department of Research, Accountability, and Assessment/Data
Warehouse (DRAA/DW) provides data analyses, evaluations, and other
services to facilitate the monitoring of progress towards accomplishing the Blueprint for Progress goal of improving achievement for all
students. The department is committed to supporting Baltimore
County Public Schools' mission of providing a quality education that
will enable all students to reach their maximum potential.
The Department of Research, Accountability, and Assessment/Data
Warehouse is responsible for:
- Conducting and reporting
results of research and program evaluations related to factors that
impact student achievement.
- Implementing and monitoring state and county-mandated testing
programs, including the Maryland School Assessment (MSA and
Alt-MSA), High School Assessments (HSA), and the PSAT.
- Coordinating preparation of the system's annual Report on
Results as well as other accountability and compliance processes
and reporting, such as the Maryland School Performance Program
Report, the Master Plan, and the Bridge to Excellence
Master Plan Update.
- Monitoring and ensuring that the system meets compliance
requirements related to adequate yearly progress and providing
technical assistance for schools in improvement.
- Supporting the business intelligence and data warehouse
information systems.
- Ensuring that the processes and activities needed to establish a
quality management system consistent with the International
Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards are implemented and
maintained.
