Enterprise Applications

The Office of Enterprise Applications (OEA) enhances organizational effectiveness and efficiency by partnering with and understanding the needs of schools and office in order to deliver seamless applications for students, staff and parents. The goal is to be the leader in implementing the most innovative and reliable enterprise applications in order to create equitable and effective digital environments. The four Teams within OEA that supports these efforts include Solutions Development/System Management, Applications Administration Support, Student Information System Management, and Quality Assurance.

OEA works with schools and offices to evaluate, integrate, and maintain enterprise applications and systems, including BCPS One, the district Web site, intranet sites, school Web sites, the BCPS Now mobile application, custom Web-based applications, and various third-party Web-based products. In addition, OEA provides and supports student information systems for all Baltimore County Public Schools. The student information systems currently supported include the BCPS One Student Information System (BCPSOneSIS), the Student Instructional Program and Resource Management Tool, and the Student Planning System (SPS).

This office coordinates and provides assistance to schools and offices in response to federal and state audits on student demographic data including official enrollment, special education services, and other special program participation. The office also provides official transcripts or official duplicate diplomas for students no longer enrolled in our system.

In addition, through its sharing of student data with other BCPS offices and information systems, the OEA plays an essential role in providing the critical information needed by central office and school administrators to make data driven decisions that help make BCPS a leader in delivering quality education.
